In September of 2005, my dream became a reality. The doors to Success Studio were opened. After years of hard work, I finally had a place for people to come and learn the fitness lifestyle.

I can remember the excitement I saw in my mother’s eyes that said she was proud of me. I had arrived. Though I didn’t know the ins and outs of running your own business, what I did know was that I was excited to offer people real fitness solutions.

Each year, our Open House celebration is an opportunity for me to thank our community for trusting us to guide them to fitness success. I know that each person who has chosen us to serve them has many options, which is part of why this event is so important to me. It is my chance to show my thanks to our community for choosing Success Studio. The best part is seeing everyone come together, clients past, present, and future like a family reunion.

As we gear up for our 17th Open House tomorrow, I have been reflecting on the early events. The club was much smaller, as this was before we had the second side of the studio. The food was up front and music from my cousin 88 Keys was playing in the back. At the end of the party, we would have a couple ministers lead us in prayer with the group to say thank you for how much we had been blessed.

I know that without God’s blessing, none of this would be possible. I couldn’t have done this on my own.
