C'ville Runs…& Swims…& Bikes 2022
C’Ville is an historic city best known as the home of presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe. Visitors travel from all over to see Jefferson’s Monticello plantation and The University of Virginia. But Charlottesville is also popular for its Downtown Mall, arts and culture festivals, as a launching pad for outdoor adventure in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and for the Charlottesville Ten Miler.
The Charlottesville Ten Miler, established in 1976, is the area's oldest and most prestigious footrace and has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local charities over the past 40 years. In 2022, the event will run through C’ville in March. Not going to be around? Don’t fear! There are plenty of other races in and around the area that will be held both virtually and in-person throughout the upcoming spring and summer.
March Maniac: Saturday March 12th-13th
The March Maniac, is 11 hours, beginning at 7 pm and ending the following morning at 7 am. The 3.7 mile loop in Williamsburg is crushed gravel and has rolling hills. Each participant will be checked in after each loop and the most total miles will win entry into another Happy Cat race. Races have minimal support, awards and racers are asked to bring most of their own food and shelter. Tents can be set up in a large field area. A grilled meat/veggie burgers and coffee will be provided along with Tailwind and water.Charlottesville 10 Miler: Saturday March 26th at 8 am

Your participation in JackFest raises funds for two critical organizations that keep families together as they face serious childhood illnesses: the Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville and the pediatric oncology program at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital. Front and center at JackFest are the Kids' Superhero Dashes, where kids will compete in a 100-200 meter footrace (distance depends on age) on the gently rolling grass fields of Foxfield. The Superhero Team Obstacle Challenge is another exciting race! JackFest also features several activities for kids and families.Charlottesville Marathon: Saturday April 9th at 7:30 am
A true community event, the course has been voted as “One of the Most Scenic in the East.” It starts and finishes in downtown Charlottesville, but the course is comprised of quiet roads and bike paths along the Rivanna River and scenic Charlottesville neighborhoods. The Charlottesville Marathon and Half Marathon has been voted "One of the Top Ten Best New Marathons in the U.S.A" by Runners' World Magazine and "One of the Country Top Five Destinations Marathons" by The New York Times.Live Bold 4 Miler: Saturday April 9th at 9 am
The 9th annual LIVE BOLD 4 Miler at Bold Rock Cidery in Nellysford is A Must Do! Not only does it offer an absurdly scenic and flat course, but you get to relax at the finish and drink in the scenery that Bold Rock is famous for. Stroller and Fido-friendly.
